The bloom room sessions are aimed at giving members an opportunity to learn, share and connect. Once a month we meet and all the registration links to the zoom sessions can be found in the members area. We also send out an email to members on the Friday before.

January 6th 2025 @7pm: Adele Roche
An insight into the world of Colour. Adele is a specialist in colour psychology for interiors & branding. Creating thoughtful palettes that blend aesthetics with psychology for impactful designs. We will delve into our relationship to colour as florists and how to use that power to advance our consumer appeal.
February 3rd 2025 @ 7pm: Joseph Massie and Kirsty Noble
The Power of Competition. Winners of the national competition UK Florist of the Year and UK Florist of the Year: Newcomer for 2024. We will discuss getting into competition, how it can help your career and what comes next for both competitors after their amazing win of 2024. Both Joseph and Kirsty can answer any burning questions or worries you might have about getting into competitions.

Mothers Day Members Chat. Donna Cornish is joined by two fabulous retail florists to give insight and advice for the upcoming peak period. We’ll cover expectations, preparation, concerns for this year and what everyone hopes to achieve. Your thoughts and ideas are welcome in this relaxed professionals meeting. Gain new ideas and share your wisdom too.
April 11th 2025 @ 7 pm: Morgan Douglas-Nuth
Phone photography: Taking great photos of your work is so important to show your product at its best. Lighting, composition, background and storytelling is a huge part of showing your flowers off to the best potential. Morgan will guide you through some do’s and Don’ts in this fab session.
May 12th 2025 @ 7pm: Queen Bee Marketing
Creating great Blogs: Keeping your website content fresh needn’t be a chore. As florists we have lots of stories and great photos to share. Jane and Helen will be giving us hints and tips on how to format your blogs, how long they should be and how to keep your content in tip top condition!
June 2nd 2025 @ 7pm: Sam Raindle
Creating enticing Window Displays: Creating a great window display takes planning and skill. Sam from Stock Florist will be presenting how they prepare, make and install a display to interest their customers throughout the year. We’ll cover everything from concept to cost!
July 7th 2025 @ 7pm: Jo Biddle
Educational updates for Businesses: Jo will explain what courses are on offer to train staff and owners wishing to advance their skills sets. We’ll cover where you can train and what’s involved. Keep up to date with our latest Training and Education news for working florists.
August 11th 2025 @ 7pm: Florismartdirect
Supporting competitions: Merel van den Burg will join us to talk about why Florismart are sponsoring our UK competitor for the World Cup in Floral Art. What preparations have gone into the big event and how working with competitors showcases our industry skills.
September 1st 2025 @ 7pm: Abigail McGuire
Wiring Skills: Abigail joins us for this skills session aimed at refreshing the basics of wiring. If you or your staff need a brush up on the skills of wiring and taping for buttonholes and corsages. Abigail will showcase the correct gauges to use and the best techniques for the materials you use. If you’ve forgotten what the difference between a natural and ribbed unit are then this is the session for you. Members are invited to ask staff if they would like to join this session too.
October 13th 2025 @ 7pm: BFA
Open forum: Have you just joined the industry or just started studying floristry? Thinking about a career in flowers. This Bloom Room is focused on answering any industry questions you might have. Our Directors come from various backgrounds and are happy to share our knowledge. Members are invited to share the link for this Bloom Room with anyone they feel it might help.
