Since 2008 the BFA has had a significant presence at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show. The BFA Marquee is a popular feature at the show with live competitions, floristry demonstrations and exhibits by colleges and local professionals.
The BFA Marquee stands proud in the middle of the show ground and inside visitors are treated to an entire world of everything floral. The BFA highlights the benefits of using a professional, trained florist to the visitors at the show as part of their on-going consumer campaign. The main stage features live floristry demonstrations by BFA demonstrators whilst the side walls of the marquee are adorned with competition booths in which the finest UK talent competes to win the competition. Over the last 5 years we have hosted many competition finals for the BFA Florist & Young Florist of the Year as well as for the Society of Floristry, Worldskills UK, Teleflorist and Interflora.
The BFA Marquee these days includes the Floral Design Studio in which you will find exhibits from local NAFAS flower clubs, the RHS Tatton Park College of the Year competition, as well as florists from the local area such as The Black Rose and Verdure.
This summer the BFA will bring six ‘Have a Go’ experiences to the show where visitors will be able to get their hands on some flowers and learn from one of our experts how to create stunning yet simple designs themselves. Who knows, they may even ignite a spark that wants them to take up floristry themselves!
