Florist Shows and Events

Throughout the year the BFA organises and participates in a number of events. These events are both consumer facing events where we promote our skilled profession, florists and the BFA.  Also industry based events like BFA FleurEx and Visions. 

The BFA leads the way for floristry at all the UK’s major flower shows, bringing the very best of floral artistry to the attention of the visiting public and the world’s media.

BFA VISION

BFA Vision is our annual spring trade conference with an engaging programme of inspirational speakers and business workshops on essential commercial topics to re-energise your business mind! Open to all trade florists, growers, tutors and suppliers whether a BFA member or not. Each year we will have a stellar line up of speakers on all the topics that affect florists and their business .

BFA EUROPEAN FLORISTRY SCHOOL

Once every two years, Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire hosts a sell-out 3 days of floristry experience where those attending are taught by three of the best designers in the world. New concepts, techniques and a range of designs are introduced before breathtaking designs are created. This is typically held in Mid August. They have taken place in 2015, 2017, 2019.

BFA FLEUREX

FleurEx is the BFA’s annual show typically held in October. Now the only floristry trade show in the whole of the UK, BFA FleurEx offers rich and varied content over the course of a single weekend. Hundreds of florists flock to FleurEx to visit trade exhibitors’ stands, , watch floristry demonstrations, attend floristry masterclassess and to take part in floristry competitions.

BFA INDUSTRY AWARDS

Presented at the Gala Night celebrations during FleurEx, the coveted annual BFA Industry Awards are voted for by florists over the course of the year. Categories include Flower Wholesaler, Florist Newcomer, Florist Website, Floristry Tutor, Training Provider and Sundries Wholesaler of the Year.

BFA COMPETITIONS

Competitions are a great way to improve your speed and skills as a florist. Opportunities to compete worldwide, often present themselves and give the opportunities to network with fellow florists and venture abroad.
