Floral Bins

The brief from RHSWe’re challenging floral designers to brighten up our floral bins. The bins are decorative and not functional and we want to see how our fabulous floristry innovators might take over these everyday items.
The bins are recycled metal oil drums, painted black. They do not have lids, but these may be provided
upon request.
Your exhibit can sit on top of the mouth of the bin, or you could use the whole drum. For example, your
design could feature flowers cascading out from inside the bin.
If you wish to have a lid for your display to sit on, please select this option when completing your application
form. The lid will be made with MDF and will be painted black.
Each bin will need to be weighted from the inside as they are currently hollow. If you are using a lid, please
ensure your lid is hidden by covering it with flowers/foliage or a suitable material/medium. You may not paint
the bin any other colour. Floral Bin Dimensions Height: 86.5cm Diameter: 58.5cm Circumference: 182cm

Floral Lamp Posts

The brief from RHS This new category is all about designing Floral Lamp Posts. Please note that these posts will not actually be rigged to electrics. We challenge applicants to consider: How will you make your Floral Lamp Post Stand out? Props are allowed if they are part of your design, but the majority of your installation should be focused on flowers. Please be aware that we will not allow visitors to touch or lean on the lamp post – so there’s no need to add a path in to your design. Lamp Post Dimensions* Height: Approx. 3m (10ft) Base of Lamp Post: 61cm x 61cm
