Since May 2024 the BFA have been running heats allover the UK. These took place at our Hub meetings in Glasgow, Sheffield, Bristol and London. We were so pleased to see the level of enthusiasm and skill in both of our competitions.
- UK Florist of the Year (5 years + experience)
- UK Florist of the Year: Newcomer (Under 5 years experience)
The competitors from each heat were awarded a 1st 2nd and 3rd place but it is the top 6 scorers from across all the UK heats that go through to the finals. Finalists will compete live at FleurEx in September with the The UK Florist of the Year winner going on to represent the UK at the Florint World Cup in Floral Art in 2025 in the Netherlands.
All finalists will receive instruction for the finals via email.

The Sponsors
These competitions could not take place without the support of our industry. Competitions strengthen our professional skills and keep the UK relative and competitive on the global stage. This year the heats and finals are sponsored by Oasis® Floral Products and FloraLife who have been at every hub passionately sharing their products, knowledge and support. Thank you from all of us at the BFA!
Florint World Cup in Floral Art 2025
The next step for the winner of UK Florist of the Year 2024 will be to represent the UK on a global stage at Florint World Cup in Floral Art. They will be supported by the BFA along their journey and sponsored by Florismartdirect.
We hope as many UK florist and supporters as possible will attend the show and cheer on whomever wins the honour of UK Florist of the Year 2024.
Thank you to the UK Floristry Judges Guild who have been at all the Hubs, providing schedules and Judges to score all the heats. We use the UKFJG for all our competition marking to emphasise professionalism and standard scoring across all professional florist competitions. They will also be judging at the finals of FleurEx
Thank you also to our competitions officer Charlotte Baker.
