On the 4th and 5th October, the BFA held the FleurEx 2025 event.
With Exhibitors, Business drop ins, Awards evening, Skills Workshops, Ask the Experts, Demonstrations, FlowerLab, Plant Lab, UK Florist of the Year live finals and Sunday competitions!…… PHEW!…. It was a truly wonderful 2 days. If you missed this event we have a few photos to give you a feel of the weekend.
The atmosphere was amazing with so many supportive industry peers, The Awards saw everyone cheering on their friends and colleagues.
The Exhibition Hall
So many of the people who supply and support florists came out to meet new clients and engage with loyal longtime buyers too. They made some great stands!
The Demonstrators
Daniel Santamaria and Joseph Massie delighted the attendees with their floral creations. Bridal and Wedding fashions did not disappoint the crowd and it was wonderful to see artistic creations, which can inspire UK florists future work.
The Flower Lab and Plant Lab
The Flower Lab was such a hit last year that it made a much anticipated return! With mini demonstrations throughout the day and ‘have a go stations’ too, the area was visited and interacted with by many attendees, all coming away with inspiration. Off the back of The Flower Lab’s success, 2025 saw the introduction of The Plant Lab, a second interactive area dedicated maximising the commerciality of houseplants and botanical beauties.
The Skills Workshops
New for 2025, these quick skills workshops focussed on some of the fundamentals of floristry, helping attendees improve their technique and building their professional confidence.
The business drop in sessions
A fab line up of speakers all giving 45 minute talks aimed at helping business owners to go away inspired and with renewed energy. Interactive and friendly sessions were enjoyed by all who attended throughout the weekend.
Ask the Experts
As if that wasn’t enough, a panel of leading industry experts were available on both days for quick fire questions relating to their subject area. Attendees were given 6 minutes each in this speed-dating style Q&A.
