Six years ago the BFA Industry Awards were launched for all involved in the industry to gain recognition.
Now – The Industry awards that recognise and reward excellence in the florist industry, are hotly anticipated and well established with the 2017 tickets selling out in record time, as florists and other industry experts alike are keen to see who gains the top spots.
Saturday 21 October 2017 saw the eagerly awaited Industry award winners announced along with the presentations of the higher and master florist diploma certificates and cups, and a Flower Council of Hollands special award.
The process this year began early in the year with nominations being placed in the nine categories. Following the closing date for nominations the verification process was completed and a short list drawn up, voting then reopened to find the winners. All results were counted, checked and kept top secret until the night of the FleurEx Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony – a fantastic night.
