Dreaming of a green Christmas?
It’s the most wonderful time of the year; gorgeous gifts beautifully wrapped and holly on every door. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if all that splendour could be done in a way that’s kinder to the planet too?
Read on for tips on designing a greener Christmas…
1. Designs for life, not just for Christmas
Reusing items is one of the best things you can do for the planet, so create designs in reusable containers where you can. A beautiful vase that will last forever also gives added value to your design. Consider an incentive to bring containers back for a flower refill to encourage repeat custom.

2. Make the most of every stem
Not only does every stem have a cost to you, it has a cost to the planet in terms of the resources used to grow and transport it to you. All the more reason to make sure no stem goes to waste! Use broken stems and odds and ends in small pots or bags or create displays in mini bottles.
3. If you can’t reuse, recycle
Where materials are not durable enough to be reused many times, we should at least make sure they can be recycled. You can let your customers know that any of our kraft paper, hat boxes, porto bags, boxes and vases are easily recycled with their cardboard waste.
