BFA Chairman celebrates 50 years in business

Sue and Brian Wills-Pope are celebrating 50 years in business. Sue started her business ‘Susan’s Flower Shop’ in Paignton in 1972 when she was just 24. Between them, Sue and Brian built an empire of 7 shops in the Torbay area and have since taken it a little easier with 3 shops, the original Susan’s Flower Shop in Paignton, Brixham, and The Flower Corner in Torquay.

To thank all their customers and loyal supporters of Susans Flower Shop they are giving away 50 floral bouquets where people can nominate their daughter, teacher, god mother, best friend, dustman, whom ever they wish – and all the names will be entered into the competition with a chance to win.

Sue is a Chelsea Gold medal winner, member of the UK Floristry Judges Guild and has given so much to the industry with her teaching for Interflora, judging for the RHS and many other accolades to her name. Brian is past World president of Interflora has been Chairman of the BFA since 2013 but still finds time to drop off the wedding flowers, answer the phone, sort the bills and all the other jobs when owner of a florist business.

We wish them both and their staff many more happy years in floristry.
