Since 1968, Clayrton’s have been providing flowers and plants professionals with a wide range of high-quality packaging – from wrapping papers, cellophane or bouquets sleeves to floral sundries and decorative items.
For over 50 years, Clayrton’s have designed and produced a wide range of packaging for all aspects of the flower and plant industry worldwide. With creativity at its heart, the company continuously innovates through a strong corporate and social responsibility strategy. Pioneering the usage of water-based inks for printing in Europe, the company emphasises the need to source locally and promote biodiversity protection.
Our international background, as well as expertise in various markets, allows us to have the right approach when it comes to offering packaging solutions adapted to a specific taste, usage, or sales channel.
Combining Creativity and Ecology
Research & Development is in our DNA, and we have put innovation at the heart of our approach. Therefore, all our products are thought through and re-visited regularly to make sure they stay as eco-friendly as possible. Since 1968, the company took up the challenge of quality and oriented itself towards a green business through certifications:
- “French Origin Guaranteed” proves the value of a French know-how and production capacity. 65% of our revenues are coming from items produced in France.
- The company is certified ISO 50 001 “energy management” since 2018 for Environmental management system regarding energy and waste sorting.
- «IMPRIM’VERT®»: Since 2007, 100 % of our printing are made with water-based inks, without any solvent.
- PEFC®: Kraft paper produced using sustainable forest management. In a year, the use of our PEFC kraft paper allows to manage a forest of 4 862 trees, sustainably. This is the equivalent to an area of 100 football fields.
- OK COMPOST HOME: Our products certified by this label can be processed into households’ compost. They are no longer considered waste but more as a resource.
Providing trendy & eco-friendly packaging to florists
Clayrton’s core business is to give access to its range to florists but only through floral sundries wholesalers. The company has always put great efforts in offering innovative solutions such as the TOPAZE waterproof cardboard vase – that is now largely used by flower shops to sell bouquets and for shipping. It is available in three sizes: small, medium and large, and in three colours : khaki, red and natural kraft.
Each season comes with its novelties, allowing florists to continuously enjoy a variety of designs throughout the year. Among them, we have some best-sellers designs such as “Cyrielle” and “Ysée” ! Both available as natural and white kraft paper in different colours, and also in 0,80x100m cello rolls.
Adding Value to Pot Plants
At Clayrton’s, a team of three designers trained in eco-design is continuously brainstorming for the next packaging solutions. An important focus is given to the improvement of the products that have already set foot in the market, aiming for the limited use of fossil materials. Another challenge is to facilitate their re-using or recycling abilities and to reduce their carbon footprint. The end of the year will welcome unique trendy designs of pot plant bags, made from paper and waterproof thanks to the use of polylactic acid (PLA), a bio-sourced plastic made from corn starch that is industrially compostable and biodegradable.
This year we launched new designs of our innovative beetroot paper!
Made from 80% paper fiber and 20% beet waste, its composition reduces its environmental impact by 16%.
100% eco and recyclable as produced from PEFC® certified paper and printed with water-based inks. Available in different colours and with pattern designs too!

Thanks to our dedicated design team and production facilities located in France, we can offer a tailor-made packaging range of rolls, sleeves, sheets, gift bags, or silk paper of the highest quality with short lead times.
