Thoughout October, November, December and into January we had our Brexit survey being completed by florists all over the UK. Thank you to everyone that took part this is a vital survey.
Why the survey?
We have spearheaded a Brexit group; bringing together some of the most prominent figures and florist industries key players. Working together in unity, agreeing a united UK Industry position on Brexit to get the best result for British Florists.
Whilst there are all manor of stats on the amount of flowers coming into the UK and alike, the specific information we requested in the survey gives vital data that we can use to lobby on behalf of our profession.
What was the aim of survey?
Having met several times in the last five months the cut flower industry Brexit round table agenda has included and researched many issues including import taxes, transport costs, VAT, and the exchange rate, as well as the great information we gathered from the Survey.
What’s next?
The challenges to secure the best possible future for the British florist Industry cannot be overlooked. In order for us to enable the florist businesses to prepare and be ready for the 29th March 2019, we at the BFA are taking numerous steps CLICK HERE to see more details
