Job Vacancies at the BFA

We have two new exciting opportunities at the BFA. Could you be a part of our growing association and help to elevate the floral industry representation.

Both positions are ‘work from home’ but you will enjoy contact with a variety of industry professionals. Both positions have the same application form which can be down loaded below.

Association Manager: Full time position 

We are looking for a professional to join our team and coordinate the day to day tasks of the association. To engage with all member types as well as effectively communicating between all personnel. We pride ourselves on transparency and professionalism and are looking to welcome a compassionate, enthusiastic and lateral thinking member of our team.

Overview: 

The Association Manager plays a pivotal role within the British Florist Association, serving as the first point of contact for all inquiries. The manager’s key responsibility is to promptly and professionally address these inquiries or, when necessary, identify and direct them to the appropriate director or officer who can provide assistance. In addition to this crucial function, the Association Manager is integral to the efficient operation of the organisation, contributing to lateral thinking, professionalism, inclusivity, and active participation within the floral trade.

Book Keeper: 15 hours per month

We are looking for an organised and focused book keeper to work with us on our finance side, helping the association stay on track and up to date with our financial management.

Overview: 

In this role, you will attend board meetings when required, demonstrating your commitment to broad lateral thinking and your dedication to helping the entire floral industry thrive. Acting with professionalism and inclusivity, especially when representing the BFA, is essential. Your active participation in generating ideas and activities to foster the association’s growth is highly valued. Additionally, your transparency in sharing news, information, and activities with the board will contribute to our organisation’s success.

Interviews for successful applicants to be held in March. Our ideal start date for the successful candidate would be beginning of April 2024 but can work with the correct applicant to ensure previous engagements are honoured.
