The world’s most celebrated flower show returns this May, and once again we’re proud to see BFA members and supporters showcasing their creativity at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025.
Floral exhibits in the Great Pavilion span three distinct categories:
- Floral Creations – smaller, plinth-based designs judged for RHS medals
- Creative Spaces – expressive floral displays that offer complete creative freedom
- Floral Installations – large-scale, immersive exhibits designed to provoke thought and inspire
This year, BFA members are contributing to both Floral Creations and Floral Installations, bringing a wealth of talent, texture, and storytelling to the show. From striking student showcases to powerful sculptural pieces, their work highlights the creativity and innovation flourishing across our community.

Floral Creations
‘Transition’ Plantology Floral Creations

Inviting contemplation on the seasons of our lives, Transition showcases plants and flowers in various stages of the growth cycle – from delicate seedlings to vibrant blossom and fruiting maturity. Rough bark, mosses, and lichen-covered branches provide a rustic foundation, while radiant Ranunculus and Geum symbolise the peak of life’s beauty and abundance. As the viewer’s eye moves through the arrangement, they witness the journey from nascent life to full bloom and, ultimately, the cycle’s renewal.
Floral Installations
‘Ebb and Bloom: Textures of Wellbeing’ – Denise Jones Floral Design

This immersive, sensory and ambitious floral sculpture explores the synergy between mental wellbeing, floristry, and sea swimming. Handcrafted willow structures form dynamic, wave-like shapes that reveal something new from every angle including a hidden heart. Featuring abundant blooms in blues, purples, whites and peach-pinks, the design blends spiky thistles, soft gypsophila, velvet roses, and fragrant herbs like rosemary and lavender to evoke both movement and mindfulness.
‘Colour My World with Happiness and Harmony’ – Doncaster College

Every year, the RHS selects one college to represent the future of floristry at Chelsea – and in 2025, that honour goes to Doncaster College. Their vibrant, student-led exhibit features large willow globes woven from heritage varieties, dressed in a radiant spectrum of flowers and foliage. The design reflects how floristry becomes a creative portal to possibility. Gradating colour draws the eye through the installation, while contrasting textural cubes symbolise the diversity and differing perspectives of our world. The project is led by tutor Jade Loftus (previous BFA Award winner) and Jo Cullingworth (IPF Member), supported by BFA Member and IPF Honorary Member Simon Lycett and sponsored by Tom Brown Wholesale Florist, the family business of the Board’s International and Wholesale Director, John.

The Iconic RHS Letters
Also flying the flag for British floristry are BFA Members Acacia Creative Studio, who return to RHS Chelsea for their fourth consecutive year. Designers Rachel Kennedy and Xue Wang will be creating this year’s floral installation for the signature RHS letters, a show favourite and one of the most photographed features on site.
Their bold 2025 design is a vibrant ombré of tropical blooms, blending colour, energy, and storytelling into a living sculpture. Through rhythm, texture and form, the letters will express the heartbeat of nature — and the power of flowers to connect, inspire and delight.
We’re incredibly proud to see BFA members and supporters contributing to this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Whether competing for medals or bringing colour and emotion to larger installations, each design represents the very best of British floristry.
